  • Fetch Fresh Dayton

Meet Amanda Penrod, who owns Fetch Fresh @fetchfreshdayton Dayton with her husband, John. The inspiration for their pet food business comes from their two young children and their husky, Kahlua.

After doing some research, Amanda and John discovered that many popular pet food brands contain preservatives, animal by-products, and ingredients that can trigger allergies. This realization motivated them to find a more natural and fresh alternative.

A few months later, Taylor became pregnant again. On the night she found out, a rainbow lit up the sky—an unforgettable sign of hope. That baby would become Brooks, her “Rainbow Baby,” and the inspiration for the organization’s name.

What began as a small act of kindness—donating teddy bears with pink and blue ribbons and notes of encouragement to local hospitals—has since grown into a multi-state nonprofit.
